This work presents a series of classic materials that form part of a modernist heritage: sand, a minimalist bench, the title of a work by Richard Hamilton (1922–2011), a 21-inch SONY PVM-2130QM monitor, a snake, an adult male penis gradually weakening after ejaculation, and the chair extracted from an iconic modernist design, as in “A Gratified Young Man”, a 2004 edition of Death in the Afternoon (Hemingway, 1932), and an artist cover of the Nanping Evening Bell. This series of new definitions concerning what is “modernist” constructs a “super-modern” world. One could say that without the artist’s misinterpretation of “modern”, there would certainly be no better definition of “Super-Modern”.
