The Aesthetics of Resistance

A fictional artist has been compiling a work for which the life of Vsevolod Meyerhold (1874–1940) serves as a clue (or perhaps only borrowing Meyerhold’s name). This work is named The Aesthetics of Resistance, sharing its title with the three-volume novel (1975–1981) of Peter Weiss (1916–1982). In the intertwining narrative between Weiss and Meyerhold, a contest between truth and fiction gradually unfolds.
